Unfortunately back pain is experienced by most of us at some point in our live’s. Whether it is a temporary strain or a more prolonged problem, back pain is a common ailment.
There are many factors that may cause back ache. These include heavy duty work, pregnancy, in-correct posture, sport injuries, sitting for too long, age and being overweight.

A bad posture’s a common complaint for lower back pain. This can simply be treated by learning how to stand and sit properly. If you sit at a desk for a long time then regular breaks are necessary and learn to sit with your legs uncrossed as this adds pressure to your lower back. Headache treatment may also be necessary if you work on a computer for too long.
Regular breaks are also necessary if you are operating vibrating or heavy machinery. It’s also important how to learn to bend properly to pick up heavy instruments without putting unnecessary strain on your back.
Being in a poor physical condition and being overweight causes your muscles to be weaker and this will eventually cause back pain problems. Regular exercise will help to your weight down and make you more flexible.
A more serious back pain problem can be caused by more serious ailments such as kidney stones and irritable bowel syndrome. Back pain in this case will be accompanied by vomiting and diarrhoea and on occasion blood in the urine. It’s important that you ask for medical help if you have any of these symptoms.
Although back pain is a common ailment for allot of us, it can also be a serious one. Although most types of back pain can be relieved with a change of lifestyle, painkiller and sometimes acupuncture, if not sorted out as soon as possible, back pain can become a serious health problem stopping you enjoying life to the maximum.
